-THE MURDER OF-
KURT COBAIN

HOW CAN A MISTAKE THIS BIG HAPPEN??
It angers me in a way I cannot explain that his legacy is one of suicide and that's what many of his friends, family and fans believe. Most of the evidence when examined points toward homicide NOT suicide. Yes, he was a junkie, but that doesn't mean he has the right to be murdered by a psycho who steals his whole legacy. For what? Was it the end of her problems? Her own daughter won't even speak to her. Is anyone surprosed? Anywho. So how did we end up with this suicide verdict so quickly and easily? Let's point out the media shall we? Let's use a recent sensationalized media story for comparison, so you can see how easy it is to manipulate the truth in a case when you are dealing with media hyper-sensationalism journalism.
I am now talking about the infamous Zombie Face Eating Incident in Florida of Mr. Ronald Poppo. When you think of that incident, what is the first thing that comes to mind? BATH SALTS, right? That man took bath salts and turned into a face-eating zombie!!! Pretty much what comes to mind, am I correct? (Well, other than a man ate another man's face).. In Kurt's murder case, the RADIO (aka media) was called BEFORE the police. So by the time the police arrived on the scene, there was a literal shit-storm of media already present. When the f*ck does that ever happen? The electrician who discovers him decides it will be a good idea to call his good buddy at the radio station. Usually, the police are called first and they take people and evidence into custody and examine it before declaring a verdict. Then this shit-bird, Nik Hartshorne walks in and pretty much signals to the media a slash across his throat using his finger, which signals SUICIDE to the attending press. That is after NO official medical examination of ANY KIND!!! Do you even understand how unusual that is and how much it destroyed any chances of a objective investigation?? Every division of the Seattle PD held the belief that is was a suicide before his body even left the scene. Later, in interviews, SPD says that "They went into the house with the intention of investigating a possible homicide." Psht. That is clearly bullshit and PR to cover up the shoddy investigation. If they ever admit their mistake hell is going to rain down on them. Hopefully someday enough time will pass, and someone who isn't dead yet will tell the truth.
Back to Popp: In this instance the police do what they were supposed to do and they took the people into custody and examined the evidence and we waited to hear OVER a MONTH later the official verdict. Before that official verdict was pronounced however, what did the media do? Well, they concocted this BATH SALTS theory and they went to fucking town with it. They went to town so much, that when the real toxicology reports were released a month later, it CLEARLY shows that the attacker, Rudy Eugene, had only trace amounts of marijuana in his system. As trace amounts of marijuana stay in the system for quite some time, he was probably not under the influence of ANY drugs during this horrific attack! But when you think about the zombie face-eating victim, what is he INEXTRICABLY associated with? That's right. BATH SALTS. Again, there were no bath salts in this killer's system, but that does not change the fact that in most people's minds, that crime was committed under the influence of bath salts. THAT is the power of the media and personal perception. They use shock tactics and sensationalism to dramatize a story WAY BEYOND THE TRUTH. The "case" has already been tried and determined by the media and people's perceptions WAY before a REAL judgement is determined. In the case of Kurt however, there remains a guilty, powerful entity that continues manipulating the story and the media, removing unflattering or damning evidence after the fact and continues to hide the truth. So many spins have been put on events after the fact and so much is done to undermine the people speaking the truth, that when you clearly put the pieces together and realize it looks more like homicide than suicide, people's minds are so made up by the bullshit stories that YOU look like the one that is a lunatic for seeing the truth.
Cool letter about Kurt from Jello Biafra. Who, btw thinks Kurt killed himself. :( But he does describe a little the media mayhem and the corporate machine at that time:

The media at that time was relentless on the whole scene, but in particular on Kurt. He despised doing interviews. Mostly because he didn't spend a lot of time discussing music or goals it seems, but dispelling rumors and myths that people started leveling at them from all angles. Then they would go ahead and repeat the rumor they heard and write whatever they liked to sell their magazines and "image" of him. Especially after the whole VF article by Lynn Hirshberg and the debacle that ensued afterward with having Francis Bean taken from him and the fact that CL just would not let it go. She hammered on it and threatened and sued and screamed and railed so much about it that he was in absolute torture hell. If you read the article, it's almost as if she is the only one who could really see CL clearly, it's almost as if had Kurt taken it as a warning, maybe he would have gotten away.

LYNN HIRSHBERG VANITY FAIR ARTICLE ON CL^^^: This is a damning article. I think it was one of the only accurate pieces to come out and that is why CL responded so vehemently to it. It exposes her raw grab for fame money and power, her jealousy, manipulation and her greed.
ONE thing is very clear at that time. In the final months of Kurt's life, CL was putting his balls in a vice. A year earlier they were very much in love, now a vicious pattern had set in where she hurls abuse at him. She screams at him continually when he does not do as she wants. She meddles in the band and sets the band members against each other. She develops a hatred of Dave Grohl in particular. Twice during the In Utero recording session, Steve Albini is close to quitting because she won't stop meddling in the recording process. A session to which she was strictly told NOT to come btw. Albini quotes "I don't feel like embarrassing Kurt by talking about what a psycho hosebeast his wife is, especially because he knows it already." Tad Doyle of TAD also went public to Melody Maker magazine with his distaste. "She's outta control. Wherever trouble is, she'll find it or make it…She's disgusting. And you can quote me on that." CL blamed all of their domestic problems on his drug abuse, but SHE was known to be the one with the biggest habit. Even hiring Cali Dewitt a known junkie to be their nanny. Leland Cobain was at the lake house and describes CL and Cali both "high as a kite" with Francis right there in the room. After Kurt's death, she made a big deal of going on crusade against heroin abuse and staying clean. Wallace and Halperin interview a drug dealer named Walter during the research of their book, who said he sold her "a couple hundred dollars' worth of heroin to her a day" during that time. (source Love & Death by Wallace and Halperin)
It is clear to many that the issues that CL has are more about money and losing control of Kurt than anything else. She's pissed that he doesn't want to do Lollapalooza, which would have brought them millions. She's pissed that he doesn't want to buy a brand new Lexus and he returns the car shortly after she bought it. He doesn't really like the big fancy house on Lake either. It's more her style, the "luxury and things", than it is his. Also, in 1993, due to finances, a really unusual move is made by Kurt. One that alienates him from his bandmates and seems to be more like something CL would do, not Kurt. He insisted on a renegotiation on the terms of his royalty agreement on Nevermind. Like most people and bands within the punk rock movement, he has stuck with old punk rock ideals and fashioned an equal split of all profits with his bandmates. Suddenly in a move that seems terribly out of character he wants 100% of the lyrics and 75% of the royalties retroactively, to go to him. He threatened to quit the band if the changes were not made to his contract. And stunned at this unusual request, Dave and Krist agree, but can clearly see that it is CL's move and is a betrayal of not only Kurt's punk rock ethics, but creates a rift in their friendship as well. (After this rift is caused, Kurt is more alienated bc his band mates are really not in the picture and it is known that Kurt later wanted to leave Nirvana. After Kurt is dead does anyone remember the huge deal CL made suing the band for royalties and only agreeing on an undisclosed sum after they had signed non-disclosure agreements, they were finally able to release the box set. Does this play into they seem agree with Kurt's "suicide" verdict? I've always wondered, what do they really think? This is when she buys the Lake house. But Kurt complains often about the opulent surroundings. She probably used Francis Bean to pull this power play off. Another person concerned and who has a lot of stake in Kurt is Danny Goldberg at Geffen, who is also the Godfather of Francis Bean. What if they lose Kurt? What if he does not re-sign his contract with Geffen? So they decide to finally hold an intervention for Kurt. More of a power bid for control than anything.
On March 25th, 1994, Kurt walks downstairs to an intervention. Gathered in the living room were: CL, Michael "Cali" Dewitt, Pat Smear (Nirvana's new guitarist), David Burr (a drug counselor) and several other people from Kurt's management and record label. They took turns telling him he has to clean up his act or they won't work with him anymore until he seeks treatment. It ends with CL telling him "This has got to end…You have to be a good daddy." The irony of his heavy habitual heroin user junkie wife calling him out was not lost on him. He called them all hypocrites. Danny Goldberg even said his biggest problem was that the person telling him to get clean was an even bigger junkie than he was. The next day, CL, later terrified in losing her position with Geffen and Gold Mountain puts down the ultimate pressure. If you don't go to rehab, I will limit your contact with Francis Bean. At this, Kurt agrees to go to rehab. Five days later, March 30th, he flies to Exodus in Los Angeles. During this time and BEFORE going to rehab, Kurt and Dylan Carlson buy the shotgun bc Kurt does not feel safe at the Lake House. This is way before the days of celebrities and their body guards and he wasn't really like that anyway. What he was, was alone and unprotected with no real clue of the danger he was really in.
CL meanwhile was attempting a detox of her own. She goes to the 5 star Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills with a Dr. supervising in what is called a "hotel detox", supposedly to be out of the spotlight. What is the most utter bullshit about this type of detox, is that instead of being on street drugs like heroin, you get a doctor who will write a prescription for buprenorphine or Suboxone, which is a synthetic opiate. You supposedly "kick" the heroin habit, but all you are doing is replacing the opiate with one that is prescribed and legal. You sure as hell don't go through withdrawals and she was certainly NOT kicking her own drug habit, just changing the drug.
Kurt is visited in rehab by Frances and Jackie Farry one of her nannies. Kurt complains to Farry about his battles with CL, then plays for an hour with the Bean. He received several phone calls from CL while he is there, and at one point friends report he seems to receive some disturbing news. He visits with Gibby Haynes of the Butthole Surfers and they joke about one of Gibby's friends who had "scaled the wall and escaped". The reason they laugh is that Exodus is not a lock-down facility, so there is no need to climb a wall, you can walk out the door any time you please. People joke about Kurt climbing the wall, like he was some sort of idiot. He knew it wasn't a lock-down facility. That was his sarcastic sense of humor in play.
One week later, he was found dead.
SPD, Officer Levandowski, who had been to the house for prior complaints, recognized Cobain. Electrician Gary Smith had led him to the room above the garage. Kurt's body was lying on his back with a shotgun on his chest. He describes the body as being like a mannequin, with only a bit of blood coming from his ear. He says, "Kurt's hair looked like it had been combed by a hairdresser. It was all spread out nice and even." It looked like his hair had been combed??" I always found that statement to be odd. Since when did Kurt's hair EVER look combed, and what a random thing for someone to say. Obviously, it was arranged. (I am SO SICK of the false crap going around that CL perpetuates as his having his "head blown" off. It is a blatant falsehood.) Firefighters arrived and broke a window for entry. They removed his wallet and laid out (media accounts say that his wallet was lying that way, but that is false, the police pulled his wallet out and his license and laid it open next to the body so they could photograph it). Two more officers arrived and began photographing the scene. Those photos have NEVER been released. Many items were found in the room, including, a box of shells, drug paraphernalia, jacket, sunglasses and a can of Barq's root beer. There was a receipt for the gun in the pocket of the jacket as well as the plane ticket stub he had used to fly back from LA. Nik Hartshorne had arrived and removed the shotgun from Kurt's hand with difficulty. His hand still gripped the barrel so tightly that an impression could be seen on his hand. (Yet they can get NO PRINTS from the gun??? Such. Bull. Shit.) The gun was loaded with 3 shells. There was only one spent lethal shot fired. There were puncture marks on each elbow inside the arm, which is peculiar as Kurt is a lefty (just try brushing your teeth with your other hand, then tell me how he shot up in his left arm BY HIMSELF). After Hartshorne examined the scene, he then prepared to have the body sent to the lab for an autopsy, all standard procedure. What he did next, however, was NOT. He stated to the assembled officers including Head Detective Cameron, and made the throat cutting gesture to the gathered press. His statement: "This is an open-and-shut-case of suicide. The victim died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound." BOOM. Fans, friends and family were shocked, but they started to believe the lie after it was repeatedly misreported later. Most people just saw another junkie, another Rock n Roll death by suicide. And one that was not long in coming.
However, In a “normal procedure” the detectives assigned to the case, assuming they were diligent and had some modicum of sympathy for the victim, (not a valid assumption in the Cobain case) would be focusing on motives for both suicide and homicide. They would be checking into and ruling out the possibility of known threats, (Kurt was threatened several times) spousal abuse, criminal associates, spouses whereabouts, life insurance policies and prenuptial agreements and more, searching for motive. The entire skein of evidence, not the least of which would be any tampering with the hand-writing of a note, leading to possible motives for “homicide” should have been looked into. It would also be discovered, that the recording contracts between Nirvana and DGC records were expired and that he was refusing to re-sign the new ones. (HH Assassination of KC) Even when famed Seattle journalist Duff Wilson wrote a piece a month later detailing some inconsistencies in the death, no one cared. The authorities continued to insist "textbook case of suicide" The end.
Ok so what makes his death so suspicious? It would be easy if it were just ONE thing, but the fact is there are SEVERAL discrepancies that point logically toward homicide.
Continued on the next page...the evidence.
However, there is so much more creepy stuff on www.justiceforkurt.com. Especially the weird searches that CL takes Tom Grant on when she comes to Seattle, how they go to the Carnation property, the suspicious behavior, the weird relationship between CL and Kurt's mother Wendy, the latex hand, rats. Gosh, I wish I knew more about what really happened with Kurt and the Carnation property, oh wait, we don't have it, the police didn't even investigate the strange happenings there or check for possible clues.
