Over the years, there have been powerful people with plenty of time and money to change the story after the fact. The media and the powerful PR machine behind them has always skewered Kurt into something he was not and his dislike of journalists who just printed whatever hype around him without bothering to check facts, was a cause of his ultimate disdain of these people and many times he made that disdain clear. Kurt's reputation was damaged by false publicity both before and after he died. What better way to ruin a man's name but to spread continuous lies about his whereabouts, thoughts and actions after he is already dead and cannot defend himself. The media played and continues to play a huge part in why Kurt has never been brought to justice. People with a lot of money and a lot to lose sure do their best to steamroll the facts and throw so much smokescreen that confusion exists everywhere, distorting the truth. For example, look at how his death is talked about on Find A Death. And I quote: "There are plenty of other photos of Kurt, close up, but it's pretty nasty. His face was so destroyed that they had to use fingerprints to identify him". A) Those photos were never released, so NO there are NOT "plenty of of other photos" and any out there are FAKE. B) They describe his face as "destroyed" but then inaccurately quote the electrician Gary Smith with ONE part correct that he looked "like a mannequin" So which was it? Was his face destroyed OR did he look like a mannequin, you fucking twats?? If his face were as you described, the electrician's first impression would most definitely not be that he looked like a mannequin, his first impression would be of the horror. FAKE FAKE FAKE. C) The "had to use fingerprints to identify him." Way to make up some more BULLSHIT. The police took his ID out of his wallet to photograph for evidence but it was quite obvious who it was just by looking at his body. His body looked like a mannequin with only a small bit of blood coming from one ear. His hair "looked combed" HARDLY the DESTROYED head blown off CRAP they are describing:

They don't care if they get one fact straight as long as there is some sensationalism involved! Most forensic experts and investigators who have examined this case on their own and with nothing to gain agree that Kurt's death was obviously staged to look like a suicide. The publicity that came from his death resulted in making him look convincingly that he was just some sort of loser who killed himself just when he had it all because he was just a drug addict who couldn't handle the fame. When Kurt's death is spoken about by the media, it is always referred to as a "suicide by shotgun blast". They NEVER mention the heroin overdose which actually killed him and NOT the gun (more on that later.)

Let's talk about the "suicide setups". Once again, while he is alive, CL cannot talk about how he is suicidal. Not the way she continually speaks about it after his death. Several interesting things occur however which lay a nice groundwork for the accusations which come later. Especially the accusations that come when she hires PI Tom Grant, including the fact that while claiming she does not know where Kurt was, she was all the while tracking his movements every waking moment up until the day he is murdered. She has a history of manipulating the police. Which is quite obviously what she is trying to do when she hired Tom grant. To establish her whereabouts aka "an alibi" on Easter Sunday and Monday April 5th, 1994 when Kurt was to be found dead according to plan.

From mid 1993 up until his death in April 1994, their marriage was over. Despite what she has said to the contrary, CL was facing a divorce and was written out of Kurt's will. Before he had a chance to finalize the new will and begin divorce proceedings, Kurt "committed suicide" (was murdered). How fortunate not only for CL, but for all the people who had a finger in the money-pie. Kurt wanted out. He wanted to go in a different direction than the one expected of him, and even worse, the little shit was cleaning up his act and with new resolve, was saying "NO" to a lot of people who were trying to control him. He figured out, to be happy, he had to start playing for himself. Recording the less than radio friendly "In Utero" was just the first step. Man, were all the suits pissed at that album. He finally reluctantly agreed to remix two of Steve Albini's tracks to be more radio friendly, but he refused to budge on changing the name Rape Me to "Waif Me". Does anyone remember the fury that ensued during the release of "Rape Me"? I do. Stations were refusing to play it and stores were blacklisting the album. They twisted the meaning into one that Kurt was condoning rape. I also find it interesting that after this album was released, Nirvana's contract with Geffen was up for renewal. Geffen hated the song and MTV downplayed it at the awards. Critics far and wide panned the album. Tower Records, reported: “DGC is disappointed with In Utero sales to date, they have sold fewer than two million copies in the United States since its release.” Everyone, including CL wanted to make that Nevermind money aaaall over again. CL was married to more than just Kurt; her band and her fame were inextricably linked with his. If his band gets dumped, or if his career fails, why is Geffen going to keep her band on the label? Let's just say there was quite a bit for CL to lose if Kurt does not play his part. CL had her hands in every part of Kurt's life. She wanted Kurt to be dependent upon her in every way. She has a history of controlling those around her by getting them addicted to drugs. She developed relationships with his (hated) mother, his lawyer, his publicist, the press, the police, staff at the label and management, and she controlled the hiring and firing of nanny's and household staff. The only thing she increasingly did not have control of was Kurt and his creative process. She became increasingly domineering, threatening and manipulative. She must have been absolutely furious over his success, and felt entitled to all of it. She wasn't there for him. She was there for herself.

A person's actions show a person's frame of mind. If a person has attempted suicide before, then chances are you can consider that person "suicidal". However, in certain instances, can those actions be mimicked?

Suicide Setup #1:

This, in my opinion is just one of the practice sessions for Courtney, and step one in setting up a pattern on how SPD views Kurt. She has a direct line to a Detective Terry that she refers to often to Tom Grant and in his case manual, you can see photocopies of police reports signed by Detective Terry (who, btw, is one more person connected to the case to die mysteriously. L&D) They speak quite a bit about CL's connections with SPD on the Justice for Kurt site. This is a copy of police record which can be obtained, but it will be heavily blacked out (the **** represent blackened portion). WHY? To protect Courtney? Or to cover up something that can show negligence on the behalf of the Seattle PD? What it says according to Tom Grant's case files, is that CL, claiming to try and revive Kurt, injected him with Buprenorphine. Then force fed him valium, Tylenol w/ Codeine and Benedryl. Buprenorphine, a synthetic opiate, and codeine. So she gives him yet more opiates as well as other medications which are extremely toxic in combination with opiates in order to "help" him? Why wasn't she arrested for illegal injection and possession of illegal drugs? Look at the last line. Oh yeah, she tells them this has "happened before". Meaning it will happen again.

“On 5-02-93/2111 Hrs, ROs were dispatched to 11301 Lakeside Ave. N.E. in response to a drug overdose. Fire arrived simultaneously with ROs and entered premise after it was cleared by ROs. RO contacted C/W***** who said (V/Cobain) had been at a friends house 2 hrs earlier where he had injected himself with $30.00- $40.00 worth of heroin. He then drove home to the address of the incident and stayed in his room/ C/W******* W,/******, and W2/****** told ROs his physical condition gradually deteriorated to the point that he was shaking, became flushed, delirious and talked incoherently. C/W****** said she ********** C/W***** said this type of incident had happened before to V/Cobain.”

Suicide Setup #2, The Rome Incident:

By the time of the Rome incident, as it is popularly referred to, the marriage was all but over except for the signing of papers. Kurt wanted a divorce and that is FACT. CL has also contacted Rosemary Carroll and asked her to find "the meanest most vicious divorce lawyer" she can find. While Kurt is on his European tour, CL is in Europe, with Billy Corgan and Francis Bean. Kurt vehemently insists she come to Rome and bring Bean. He is tired of her using Bean as leverage. He forbids her to bring Michael "Cali" Dewitt. She is scheduled to arrive 2-22-94 but she does not show. Select magazine expose Billy Corgan and CL still together in London. On 2-24-94, their anniversary, she still doesn't show with Bean. I think being denied access to his daughter, who had really changed his outlook on life, was devastating to him. He did not want to do to her what has been done to him and bring her up in a world of divorce, but he has realized by this time who he has really married and he must have been terrified. On 3-01-94, in Munich, after only 3 songs Kurt collapses onstage from exhaustion. After his death CL paints a picture of a strung-out Kurt trolling the streets of Munich looking for a fix. All lies. What really happened was he saw a doctor who diagnosed him with severe bronchitis and recommended that he take two months off to rest and recover. He returned to his hotel, called his agent and cancelled the tour.

The next day he flew to Rome, checked into the Excelsior hotel and waited for CL and his daughter, whom he had not seen in 26 days. CL arrives in Rome with Cali Dewitt. She wastes no time getting into an argument about the cancelled tour and decides to go out on the town. Kurt stays at the hotel and writes her a note detailing his wish for a divorce. Within hours he is being rushed to the hospital in a coma. On March 4th, 1994, Kurt woke up in the hospital and he didn't know why he was there. Other than the illness, by all accounts, Kurt was clean and sober at this time, however...Kurt's coma was described as an "Accidental" overdose of champagne and Rohypnol. Dr. Galletta issued the following statement: "Cobain doesn't know what happened to him. He hasn't gained complete control of his memory. When he emerged from the coma, he was very hungry and asked for a strawberry milkshake!"

CL refered to rohypnol in an interviews with Select Magazine on March 3rd, 1994, right before seeing Kurt in Rome. "There is a box of Rohypnol on the big mahogany table in the middle of Courtney Love's London hotel room, among the scattered papers and cigarette boxes. "Look, I know this is a controlled substance," she smiles as she empties one of those fizzy stomach upset powders into a tumbler of water and washes back a Rohypnol. "I got it from my doctor. It's like Valium."  So the day before, she gives a couple interviews, talked about combining champagne and Rohypnol and had that drug with her. Then she when to Rome with Michael DeWitt, had an arguement with Kurt where is wants a divorce and trys to leave, and within HOURS he is in the hospital with an overdose of Rohypnol and champagne. Uhhh.

CL claims that she and Kurt get romantic. They order champagne. They order a prescription. They have a bit too much fun, they go to bed, she wakes between 3 to 4am and finds him unconscious with blood coming out of his nose. He has a wad of cash in one hand and a note in his pocket. Here is a recap of events in her own words: http://beenason.tumblr.com/post/6103178693/courtney-love-about-kurt-cobains-suicide-attempt-in

No mention is made of the hotel guests complaints at the loud argument, the sounds of a tussle and door slamming that is coming from their room and the growing alarm of the hotel staff. Even radio journalists in Rome reported a loud squabble about money and divorce. At first, because Kurt survived, several pains are taken to show that this was NOT a suicide attempt. A Gold Mountain employee said: "Kurt insisted it was not a suicide note. He just took all of his and Courtney's money and was going to run away and disappear." Now why would a man who is running away to disappear with cash in hand suddenly try to overdose? It doesn't make sense. CL tells Select magazine “Anyway, what I wanted to say to you was that all this was just a tiff between me and Kurt, OK? That was all it was. A tiff. He was just upset that he was in some awful place and I was away enjoying myself and shopping. It was not a suicide thing... So now we’re going back to the therapist when it all calms down.” So, at first, Kurt is NOT suicidal, it was just an "accident" right? Even the doctor does not feel like this was a suicide attempt. "The last image I have of him, which in the light of the tragedy now seems pathetic, is of a young man playing with the little girl (Frances). He did not seem like a young man who wanted to end it all." said Dr. Galletta, the doctor who treated Kurt in Rome. So how did he end up in the hospital, in a coma with an overdose? A man who does not drink or do the drugs that are in his system? Tom Grant believes that this was a murder attempt. That somehow the Rohypnol got into his system without his knowledge. Why was his nose bloody? Did someone hold his nose until he opened his mouth so they could force feel him more pills and champagne? Rohypnol is illegal in the US after it was used in several cases of date rape, but apparently it is easily obtained in London and other cities in Europe. Even one tablet dissolved in a person's drink is enough to disorient and incapacitate someone. It can cause real memory loss, with a persons memories not returning for even months afterward. It is absolutely colorless and odorless and can be dissolved in a drink. What if the Rohypnol were given to him without his knowledge and then someone force fed him an overdose while he was incapacitated? WHY did she wait until 6-6:30am before calling an ambulance, if she discovered him between 3-4am as she said??? Also, If she was attempting to kill him, why DID she call the ambulance? She tells LA Times on April 4th 1994, about the overdose in Rome. Robert Hillburn reported: Love had flown to Rome early last month to spend a few days with Cobain after he cancelled part of a European concert tour, caused by illness. She woke in the hotel room to find him unconscious, having taken some of her prescription tranquilizers and alcohol, she says; "He was dead......legally dead, he was in a coma for 20 hours...on life support. They thought he was never going to come out of it."

What if she thought he WAS dead, and its as simple as that? They waited until he was in a coma, then called the ambulance. Look how perfect her makeup is in these photos. My husband is dying, how's my lipstick? It's press attention for her and a nail in the "suicide" coffin lid. Who called the press to arrive just in time for the ambulance pictures? Then later she makes a HUGE deal about those photos and threatens to sue and tries to get them back. Yet someone sent an anonymous message to the American AP and it was to announce that Kurt was dead. They later had to retract that statement. And still yet even later after his death, she turns around and says you know what, Rome was actually his first suicide attempt, so I don't know why everyone is so surprised.  She goes on to publicly state that the divorce letter Kurt wrote, was a suicide note, that Kurt had swallowed more than 50 blister pack Rohypnol pills with the champagne. Which meant he would have had to remove each pill from it's blister pack one by one in order to swallow them, creating more intention. A blatant LIE. Dr. Galletta vehemently denies there was that much Rohypnol in Kurt's system and that he believed the overdose was an accident. “We can usually tell a suicide attempt,” Dr. Galletta said. Again, "He did not seem like a young man who wanted to end it all.” She also goes on to tell Tom Grant and anyone else who will listen that the note was a suicide note. When Tom Grant grills her about the contents of the note, she relents and admits it mostly trashes her. Conveniently there is no copy of it, because she decided to burn it. In reality, the letter said that he was leaving her, and within a short while, he was dead. If it was a suicide attempt, why did she tell NO ONE at the time? Alerted his family and friends so someone could keep an eye on him? The truth was, he woke from an overdose of Rohypnol weak, confused, and ill, and returned to Seattle with CL instead of just physically leaving at that point. I don't think he had comprehended what had happened to him. It was taking it's toll on him and he was still ill days later when CL sets up suicide scenario #3.

(Rome quotes are from: http://www.justiceforkurt.com/investigation/timeline/rome_incident.shtml)

Suicide Setup #3:

So Kurt and Courtney are at home in Seattle by March 12th, 2004. She puts up an enormous front how "motherly" she is and how much she is watching over Kurt. She still cannot claim he is suicidal, so she is going along with the "accidental overdose" scenario. But she is probably planning the next step at this point because at any time he is going to remember what actually occurred in Rome. Kurt, however, was having none of it. He contacted Rosemary Carroll and asked her to write CL out of his will. (Too bad he didn't live long enough to sign it and have it notarized.) In reality they were arguing brutally over his will and the fact that he had flat out refused to play Lollapolooza. A friend recalls that she really went ballistic, she kept screaming at him about the money and said "if he didn't want to do it then she would." If you watch the documentary Kurt and Courtney, there is a really eerie interview with a former nanny who describes the horrible arguing and tension in the house. She says that she quit "because there was too much "will talk". They argued all the time about his will. I mean what a thing to talk about."

Then on 3-18-1994 tension reach a boil and the police were summoned. CL tells the police that Kurt has locked himself in the bathroom with a gun and is suicidal. Here is the police report, again with blocked out information:

“On the listed date and time officers responded to the listed location to investigate a disturbance. I arrived and contacted ------ stated that Cobain, Kurt had locked himself in a room and that he was going to kill himself. She also stated that he had a gun in the room. Officers were able to contact Cobain, Curt, (misspelled on report), and detained him pending further investigation. Cobain, Curt stated that he had locked himself in the room to keep away from -------. He continued to state that he is not suicidal and doesn’t want to hurt himself. “------ informed officers of (at) the location of several weapons that were in the room that Cobain, Curt had locked himself in. Due to the volatile situation with the threat of suicide and the recovery of unknown medication, the weapons and medication were taken into custody. “After further interviewing ------- stated that she did not see him with a gun, and he did not say he was going to kill himself. However when he locked himself in the room, would not open the door, and knowing that he had access to guns, she contacted 911 for his safety and well being. All parties were interviewed and released and Cobain left -------. The disturbance was verbal only.”

So under questioning she has to admit that she lied about Kurt being suicidal, because he is still alive to refute it. When questioned why he locked himself in the bathroom he states. "To get away from HER."  That doesn't sound suicidal. The police confiscate his guns despite the fact that he has no gun with him in the bathroom as she had claimed. If he were truly suicidal, it would have taken a whole SWAT team to go in and get him out, as in other actual suicidal cases. If a person is truly suicidal it takes a long time and a long conversation to draw them out, but mostly they end up killing themselves anyway. So that would have been IT, but after the fact, she points to this and the other instances as his "suicidal tendencies" prior to the act. She also admits to Tom Grant that she called the police pretending to be Wendy Connor, Kurt's mother and telling them she believes Kurt to be suicidal, knowing she cannot call again and say this as herself. Does anyone else see a pattern of manipulation here? She is plainly setting up numerous incidents so that when she sets the stage for murder, the police and the public are now handily set up to see a suicidal man.

To listen to the extent to which she is willing to craft a story, listen to the recordings that Tom Grant made after she hired him. Tom Grant's "something is not right here" instinct stirs up almost right away in this case, and he begins to record every phone conversation. I got goose bumps when I first heard these recordings. She is clearly devising her plans for covering her tracks, and it gives evidence of her skill in manipulating the media. Her lack of remorse is chilling:

What people rarely seem to understand is that her tolerance, weight and constitution were much stronger than his. They seem to think that she is "too crazy" to do anything of this magnitude and intelligence. So many times I see comments that people just don't think she is smart enough or capable enough to pull it off. Surely, if it were true, someone would have come forward by now. Well, people have come forward, several of them, it's just that if you are on the fringes of society, you will never be a credible enough witness, and those are the types of people surrounding this case. Because of money and drugs, she had many people around her that she could manipulate and control. Shady types of people who are under her power and command and would make dubious credible witnesses. I mean, look at El Duce. Also, because she is a woman, most of society just doesn't think that she has the constitution for murder. She is an adept chameleon and portrays herself as some sort of victim. She continually discredits everyone else. She is a psychopath, that has been shaped in early years of abuse, neglect and trauma, the full chilling account of which is in Hank Harrison's book. If you don't think that sort of person exists and can influence a deadly grip on someone else, you are an innocent. I encourage you to enlighten yourself.  Children of abuse can be reformed into terrifying monsters and can carry a rage so deadly that the people who come in contact may not survive. Development of psychosis in early childhood is real. Check out:

Also, if you don't think a woman usually can get away with more criminal acts in the eyes of society, take a look at this:

Incredible!!! A man in the same position is raked over the coals, a woman? And people turn a blind eye. People just can't seem to believe a woman is capable of murder or acts of vicious cruelty. Check out this racial profiling with different men, then watch as men HELP the woman steal the bike!! If you don't think that profiling exists and that people didn't have a "profile" on Kurt, watch this and think again:

Here is what Tom Grant has to say in his case files: "Courtney’s personality has been described by reporters and writers as flamboyant, frivolous, and provocative. But Courtney uses her baby doll appearance, her rambling oratories and her sometimes outrageous behavior to cover a host of psychological problems. As an investigator looking for answers to a mysterious death, I viewed Courtney from an entirely different perspective than most. I found Courtney to be extremely intelligent. She’s also a psychopath, a pathological liar, and an opportunist who will use anyone and any situation to self- promote her ambitious goals of fame and fortune. No, I’m not a psychologist. Courtney’s unbalanced mental condition is obvious. I don’t believe it takes someone with a degree in psychology to identify the problem. The media may see Courtney as a person who is “fascinating”. I see Courtney as a person who is dangerous. Courtney’s specialty is an uncanny ability to manipulate others to suit her purposes and to serve her needs. She changes her personality like a chameleon. She’s adept at becoming the victim when she’s criticized. She frequently puts on her baby doll act of sweetness and vulnerability while readily admitting, “I never claimed to be an angel.” Courtney can cry on a whim. She uses this “skill” to gain sympathy. She openly admits to being a liar and an opportunist. She wears these titles as badges of honor, often using her habitual lying as an alibi! This, most often, confuses the observer. In doing so, she’s allowed to get away with her schemes. Her antics are usually excused with a shrug, “Well, that’s just Courtney! What’s really going on inside this chaotic mind? Listen closely while she speaks. Read her interviews carefully. Courtney will tell you in her own words!"

A TELEPHONE CONVERSATION WITH TOM GRANT - April 3, 1994 “In my world, people are pretty scared of me, so they don’t f--k with me...”

US MAGAZINE - August, 1994 “Brilliant, yes, but a rock star? Kurt? No. I was going to be the more famous of the two of us.”

ROLLING STONE - Dec. 15, 1994 “I finally said, ‘I’m not on this earth to f--k a rock star, I’m here to be a rock star. . I would create myself.” ‘My thing is, ‘Don’t f--k with me. In real life.., real, real life, I’m supersensitive... My goal keeps me alive... But if you think you’re going to stop me from going where I’m going, you’re not going to do it.”

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY-Aug. 12, 1994 “I’m on fire, you f---ers... be afraid... be very f---ing afraid.”

For an in depth look at her deeply disturbing psychosis, you can download Hank Harrison's "Love Kills: The Assassination of Kurt Cobain". I certainly hope this is a rough first draft as it is very difficult to read being very circular and repetitive in nature and rife with typographical errors. He spells Fugazi with a double Z throughout the whole thing which made me want to punch him, and he speaks about punk rock as if he even has half a clue, which he does NOT, and that is annoying. He mentions many things about the Carnation property I hadn't heard before but he doesn't come through with a final conclusion. He mentions a person Francine Marsun, then later spells alternately Warsun, Fran or Frannie, but does not explain who this foreboding person is. Several things like that are going to be quite annoying, because he never does explain these open "hints" toward what he "knows". Some of his hippie beliefs are off topic. He does however make some VERY interesting points in the case that do not sound at all ridiculous, but frighteningly accurate. Worth a read into how a twisted psychopath is made starting in childhood:
